6/9/22: Funny story - I need to find my blocks from this quilt along! 😳
In January, a pipe burst and where I store much of my quilty stuff was moved in haste to prevent being damaged. And....well...that included my older UFOs! My daughter graduates high school in a few days (and my son turns 14!), but I hope to grab an hour and go block hunting. Stay tuned....
6/6/22: When I started this quilt along in January 2011, I had no idea that by October I'd be back at work full-time and sending my children to after-care babysitting until 4-5pm weekdays. Time was stolen from me, and the quilt along ended abruptly. I sincerely apologize!
There is a silver lining! Since I was able to design and post 11 12-1/2" blocks and 6 6-1/2" blocks. I don't have that layout yet..and I am not 100% sure when I will (being totally honest here!) Re-read the December 2011 post, prep your signature block and you'll be ready when I am 😉
I'll play around a bit and post an update with a layout when it's ready!!!
It's here! Our very first quilt along - yay!
This quilt along will be a once-a-month 12" finished block journey...and I'll be sharing some tips & tricks along the way. It runs all 12 months of 2011. I'll be using my stash, and hopefully reduce it a bit. Maybe I can help you reduce your stash AND help in a few ways, too!
I am working on two technical things:
- Fixing the size of the quilt along button! I can't seem to get it right, it's a wee bit small right now, grab one if you'd like. Any tips on making it a bit bigger, please let me know!
- **Update 3-15-11** Maybe it's working now. The PDFs are now reloaded and can be accessed by clicking the links below. They will open in Google Docs. It worked fine when I tested them. Please LMK if you experience any problems.*** HTML PDF files of each step will be forthcoming again. I am so new to this blogging stuff, I'll work on getting PDFs out hopefully soon. For now, please work from my blog posts. Thank you!
